Today is World Malaria Day.

As I finalize my posters and presentations in preparation for WADEM, I want to emphasize the importance of disease spread.
With thousands of people coming from all over the world, it is more important than ever to ensure that we are up-to-date on all vaccines. There is nothing worse than being sick, especially in another country.
However, what I really want to share with you all is the importance of recognizing disease transmission especially if that disease is not common in your area.
The impacts of climate change and migration have greatly influenced the spread of diseases. Are you familiar with One Health? You should be. My Call to Action is for you all to understand the impacts of what is happening.
