My colleague, Dana and I, had three rounds of a rapid “tabletop” with over 25 participants.
The goal was to highlight the challenges to providing care to Palestinian women and children living in refugee camps.

Participants were given an aerial image of a map that they then had to logistically plan out where to set up potable water and medical care and a safe space for children.

We did not make it easy. In fact, we threw one obstacle after another at them to simulate what it is like to work in refugee camps.
This experience was eye-opening for some who learned just how complex the challenges are-from safety concerns to supply chain issues, to language and culturally appropriate care.
