There are so many conferences every year, that I have to prioritize which ones I plan on attending. I love meeting new people and collaborating with nurses across the world on the work that they are doing in their communities, but also to share challenges that we face as it pertains to providing care.
Last year, I had the opportunity to present alongside a dear friend and colleague, who happens to be a physician, on disaster nursing/medicine. Not only do I enjoy the camaraderie, but the opportunity to have a multidisciplinary discussion on all things disaster related.
Although I am comfortable and capable of presenting alone, I always extend the opportunity for others to collaborate and present alongside me.
So, consider this your personal invitation! If you are interested in collaborating or presenting on anything disaster or public health related, please don’t hesitate to reach out. This includes considerations for populations where English is not their native language, pediatrics, refugees, to name a few.
I plan on attending the following conferences and want to share the opportunity with others. As an experienced international speaker, I would love the opportunity to work alongside someone who has never presented before. Let me help you with your first poster or first presentation or first manuscript.
