Today, I reflect on the friendships I have made and their impact on me personally.

Three years ago this week at the very same conference, Carissa has been nothing but supportive. She has been a mentor and has taught me the ways of the service. As a mentor, she reminds me the importance of advocating for myself and for what is right, especially when others are watching.

This post is not only a thank you to her and all the mentors and service members, but also a reminded to all of us to continue to support one another.

I am not all knowing, but I am passionate about service to others. I want to continue to give back, especially during this holy month of Ramadan.
