Adventures with Nurse Jamla

The Second Day of Ramadan

Nurse Jamla

“We are all broken from inside in different ways…may this Ramadan be the healing month for us all.”

You don’t have to be Muslim to need a reminder that we all are struggling with something on the inside and need time to heal in our own way.

During Ramadan, Muslims are encouraged to ask God for forgiveness for the things that we have done, including how we treat people.

Additionally, we are reminded to forgive those that have done wrong to us, even if they don’t ask for forgiveness.

This is especially hard. However, I am reminded that I need to forgive people and give people chances as many times as I want God to forgive me for all the mistakes that I made.

The point of this post is to highlight that we can ALL use this time as a remembrance of what is important to us and to improve our spirituality.

My call to action is for everyone, especially those who are not Muslim, to reflect on all the things happening around you and to make a conscious effort to be at peace and to forgive those that did you wrong.
