After I sit and reflect on what the month of Ramadan means, I tell myself that I am going to be more positive, do more good deeds, and be more patient. I say all this with good intention in my heart as I know the devils are chained in hell this whole month.
However, there are so many outside factors that impact my intentions that are outside of my control.
Though I try every day to manage my emotions and reactions, I’d be lying if I said it isn’t difficult.
I think of everything happening in the world and I want to be so angry for the injustices happening to those that do not deserve it. I am guilty of being blessed with more than I need while others have little to nothing.
These feelings are valid and are meant as a way to reflect during this holy month and support others.
You never what your last words to someone will be, so try to choose your words carefully.
May Allah great us all a peaceful Ramadan.
