It is more crucial than ever to stop vaccine-preventable diseases like measles and address misinformation about vaccines. Children’s Philadelphia has a vaccine education center (VEC) that provides excellent resources.
VEC was launched in October 2000 to provide accurate, comprehensive, and up-to-date information about vaccines and the diseases they prevent. Its website, programs, and resources dispel misconceptions and misinformation about vaccines. The VEC has developed educational materials for parents, elementary, middle, high school, and college students.
The VEC is funded by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and through philanthropic donations and does not receive support from vaccine manufacturers.
