Today, I had the opportunity to present in Canada on Disaster Nursing to 150+ nurses from all over the world, alongside Marc-Antoine Pigeon MD, FRCPC, OStJ.

Our presentation was given twice, in English and in French, to ensure that we reach as many nurses as possible.
What struck me the most is how much more we need to do as it pertains to including nurses in disaster preparedness and response.

We, as nurses, know the challenges and we need to make sure that we advocate, educate, and work together to prepare for the next disaster.
