This evening I was reminded of the importance of celebrating accomplishments and to remember the impact I am making, regardless of those that dim the light.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025 inductees in the American Academy of Nursing!

I will be adding FAEN after my name in September and FAAN after my induction in October.

I am blessed to have mentors, friends, colleagues, and leaders in the field of nursing, who continue to see more in me than what I see in myself.

My goal is to continue to do good in this world, and to improve the lives of those that don’t have anyone to speak up for them.

Most importantly, I am humbled to achieve so much in my life and I am blessed and grateful for the faith I have that is constantly steering me in the right direction.
