Check out this request to participate in a nursing study.

“We are excited to invite you to join our investigator team for an upcoming International Flash Mob Study to capture a real-time snapshot of the Emergency Department (ED) nursing workforce across diverse healthcare settings worldwide. Please note this work is not funded.
This collaborative study, led by a global team of emergency care researchers, will take place on a single designated day, during which participating sites will collect standardized data on ED nursing staffing levels, roles, workload, and skill mix. The aim is to understand better the current state of the nursing workforce in EDs, identify patterns, and support future workforce planning and policy development.
Why Participate?
- Contribute to a global evidence base on the ED nursing workforce.
- Highlight the staffing realities in your ED setting.
- Collaborate with an international community of clinicians and researchers.
- Co-authorship opportunities for those leading data collection at their sites.
What’s Involved?
- A brief orientation session.
- Supporting local coordination to obtain required approvals and collect workforce data at a specific time.
- Submission of anonymized, aggregated data through a secure REDCap platform.
We would be honored to have your site represented in this important initiative. Your insights and participation will be vital in painting an accurate global picture of nursing in emergency care.
If you are interested in participating or want more information, please get in touch with me at jane.odonnell@auckland.ac.nz by June 30th, 2025.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the future of emergency nursing.”
