One of the greatest things I have seen thus far in Japan, are the maps of evacuation centers in case of emergencies.
These are in public places throughout the city, and a great way to keep the population of 14 million people informed.
This leads me to my call to action for us all…
What are YOU doing to keep the population in your area informed on what to do during a disaster? Are messages in public places and in different languages, reflective of the native language in the area? If not, what are you waiting for?
