This highlight is important to me as it allows me the opportunity to talk about why representation matters, especially in healthcare.

Patients are more likely to open up to the clinicians that look like them, talk like them, or come from the same area. This is extremely important as consider the diverse patient population in our communities.

I challenge you all to think of how you represent yourselves and identify ways you can be an ally to amplify the voices of others.
