I had the opportunity to visit Birmingham Civil Rights Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.

I am ashamed to say that there was so much that I learned that I was never taught is school growing up.

Civil rights are important because they protect individuals from discrimination and oppression and ensure that everyone has equal opportunities under the law.

Unfortunately, there are marginalized populations that are still facing discrimination and violations of their civil rights.

My challenge to you is: what are YOU going to do about it now that you know this information?
