Being a volunteer and part of the Journal of Emergency Nurses Executive Editorial Board, is a highlight of my career thus far.

This week I had the opportunity to go to Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) headquarters in Schamburg, IL where other board members and I, along with ENA leadership, met to discuss how to amplify the voices of emergency nurses and the work that they are doing throughout the world.

Often times, we think that doing research is too hard, or takes too much time, or that it is too costly. I am here to dispel those myths and to let you know that I am here to support you.

I am blessed to have the opportunity to travel all over the world and when I do, I meet such incredible nurses and am so inspired by the work that they are doing to improve patient care and support initiatives that advocate for safer practices and disaster preparedness and response.

I wish I could share your stories as they are so inspirational to me. Writing for the Journal of Emergency Nursing (www.jeninline.org), is one way, but there are so many other platforms as well.

Let me know how I can support you in your research or writing career. Tell me what incredible things you are doing as a nurse and I will find the platform for you to share your story.

It is time that we stop working in silos and support one another.
