I enjoy traveling and the opportunity to disconnect from the real world and be at peace with nature with no cell phone distractions.

Though it doesn’t happen as often as I would like it, I do take advantage of the places I go to by taking every opportunity to immerse myself in the culture.

On a recent trip to Dubai, I sat in the desert with the eagles and the camels and enjoyed the night sipping tea by a fire. As I spent the night stargazing, I was reminded of all the things on my list when I get back to reality that I still have to do.

That list will still be there when I get back, but this moment, with my feet in the sand and breathing in the fresh air, I won’t always have.

Don’t miss an opportunity to disconnect when you can.
