In this series, I will share items I bring on deployments that you may want to consider putting in your bag.
Let’s talk about laundry.
Depending on the type of mission, the remoteness of the location, and the resources available, doing laundry may not be the easiest thing to do.
On some missions, there is a logistics person that is sometimes able to find a laundromat which is a blessing.
There are 6 things in the picture below, that I bring with me on deployments to do laundry:

- A laundry bag.
- They come in different colors, are very cheap. I put my name on mine so that, if someone is doing laundry for me, all my clothes stay together.
- A pill bottle full of quarters.
- There may not be change machines, so I bring roll of quarters and put them in a pill bottle with the label off.
- A carabineer.
- I use it to hang my laundry bag in a closet if I am in a hotel or in my tent, so that my clothes are off the floor.
- Laundry Pods.
- They are super concentrated and easy to use regardless of the type of laundry facility. I put them in a Ziplock bag.
- Dryer sheets.
- I put lots in a Ziplock bag, not just for laundry, but also to keep between my clothes and in my shoes to make them smell good.
- Cute bag to hold everything in!
- I put all of the above in my blus bag and then, when it is time to do laundry, I bring it with me to the laundromat!
