The Complex Care Clinic Program from Texas Children’s Hospital has created a series of parent education videos to improve the hurricane preparedness of their complex care families. NPDC recently shared the Region V for Kids Be Ready Tips for Children with Special Healthcare Needs with them.
Watch the videos and see how they combined it with a hospital-based program to learn from other families, participate in discussions, answer surveys, and prepare for hurricanes! Some video content is specific to Texas Children and Texas, but it is another excellent example of how pediatric hospitals engage their complex medical patients in preparedness.
